Verifile collects information for background checks in the following ways:

• When you complete the personal information section of the online screening form required for us to complete a background check.
• When the client (your prospective employer) provides us with information about you.
• When we have spoken to you on the phone, or you have provided information to us by emails, post or fax.
• If you contact us on Social Media.
• When you use or interact with us via our Knowledge Portal or live chat.
• We may also receive personal information about you through third parties for background checking purposes.
