If you believe something in your background check is incorrect, you can raise a dispute. Verifile takes data accuracy seriously and will investigate promptly.

Step-by-Step: How to Raise a Dispute

  1. Contact Verifile support via Live Chat or hello@verifile.co.uk.
  2. Include your full name, the email address you used for the check, and a short explanation of what you believe is incorrect.
  3. If possible, include evidence (such as documents or screenshots) to support your case.

We aim to resolve disputes quickly. You will receive an update as soon as we’ve reviewed the issue, or if we require more information.

What happens next?

Verifile will contact the original data source (such as an employer, education institution, or credit agency) to verify or correct the information. If a mistake is confirmed, your report will be updated and a revised version sent to the requesting organisation.

If the information is confirmed as correct, we will explain the findings in detail and let you know how to escalate further, if needed.
