When you access the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) page through your candidate portal, it will provide you with a list of all identity document options for your criminal record check.
These will include a current and valid identity document such as passport and a proof of your current address such as your driving licence.
Please note that all provided identity documents will need to show your full current legal name—all documents must have your name spelt the same and match exactly (including any middle names or hyphens, etc).
The DBS will not accept any documents that have not included your middle name if you hold one, for example.
You may need to present original documents to the organisation that have requested your background checks, so please ensure you discuss this with them to prevent any delays.
