• How to Copy & Paste

Modified on Tue, 6 Aug at 11:13 AM

When completing checks on your candidate portal, you may wish to copy and paste information for ease.

• To copy text with your mouse, click the left mouse button, hold the button down and drag over the information you wish to copy.

• Release the button.

• The text should now be highlighted in (a colour, usually blue or grey), and means that this text has been selected.

• Ensure that the entire piece of information you wish to copy is now highlighted, and that you have selected no spaces by mistake.

  • You can now either right click and press copy, or hold down Ctrl + (and) C on your keyboard and then let go. This means your highlighted text is now copied.

• To paste this, left click where you'd like to paste your text, then right click, and select 'paste'.

• Alternatively, you can also select Ctrl + (and) V on your keyboard.

• If you are on a mobile device, such as a tablet, long press on the text you wish to copy, then click 'copy' when the pop up is presented.

• Once copied, tap where you wish to paste this—another pop up will offer the 'paste' option.

• You'll now see that this text has been pasted into the relevant field.

• You can use this method to paste content into areas of your Background Screening form.
