Once Verifile has submitted your PVG application request, Disclosure Scotland will be in touch asking you to complete an online application form.
1. Check your emails for an application link
Once Verifile completes the first part of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups application, you will receive an email with a link to complete your personal details.
2. Sign in to your Disclosure Scotland account
When you receive an email from Disclosure Scotland, you’ll be asked to sign in through ScotAccount.
If you don't hold a ScotAccount, you’ll need to create one using the unique link in the email. This allows you to access Disclosure Scotland services.
ScotAccount is a digital identity service developed by the Scottish Government. It allows you to sign in to public services securely.
3. Complete the application
Once you have access to your Disclosure Scotland account, you need to complete your online application. You have 14 days to complete it, starting from when you were sent the application link.
4. Check the result
Disclosure Scotland aims to process applications within 14 days. You can check the progress of your application in your ScotAccount.
