• What do I do if I can't remember my work history?

Modified on Fri, 9 Aug at 12:12 PM

To enable Verifile to conduct your background screening, we require you to provide full and accurate information.

If you're unable remember your work history, we'd advise you to locate evidence such as previous contracts, payslips, P45s or offer letters.

If you're unable to locate exact dates, you can provide an educated estimate.

It is possible within the HMRC (His Majesty's Revenue & Customs) mobile app to view your work history.

You'll need to download the app and create an account.

Once you've signed in, you'll need to navigate to your Pay As You earn (PAYE) Income tax records to get your employment history (View another tax year).

To help with this, please refer to HMRC. https://www.gov.uk/get-proof-employment-history.

Alternatively, if you're unable do this, or remember your work history, we'd suggest that you discuss this directly with the company that requested your background checks.
